Built by Nek Chand Saini, a self-taught innovator, Rock garden, in Chandigarh, is one-of-its-kind sculpture garden which almost looks like a miniature of an ancient kingdom spread over forty acres.

The students of Grades IV and V, accompanied by their teachers, were taken on a trip to this marvel of creativity and innovation to witness and experience its inspiring journey of transformation from mundane to magnificent.

Upon reaching there, the students learnt about Nek Chand, the man behind this amazingly unique innovation. They marveled at the greatness of his creativity as they saw different sculptures made from recycled material like ceramic pieces, glasses, ceramic pots, electrical waste, crockery, broken bangles, pieces of tar, rocks and pebbles to name a few

They returned well informed and rejuvenated, with tales to carry home and beyond.
