The world today is wrought with pain and sickness. What better way to than to celebrate festivals and forget it all for some time. These festivals are our opportunities to celebrate the little joys of life, care, love and the richness of life. They bring people closer, making them forget all enmity.
The season of spring has spread its wings and is all set to take flight. Bright and vibrant flowers are in full bloom. The colourful festival of Holi, is the highlight of this season.
In the Special Assembly conducted in DPS World, students performed a short skit on the life of Prahlad, a devotee of Lord Vishnu, showcasing the mythological origin of this festival of colours. Apoorv Jaiswal, a student of Grade III, recited a poem. A scintillating dance performance was given by Naina Rana. Vibhav Aditya Sahu, a student of Grade V shared his views on how to play a safe Holi. A melodious and catchy Holi song had everyone swaynig delightfully.
8th March is celebrated as the International Women’s Day around the globe to recognize and honour the contributions and achievements of women. Ma’am Soma Chowdhary acquainted everyone with the role of women in the world, focusing on the achievements of some celebrated women like Kalpane Chawla, Indira Nouyi and many more.
