Children are an integral part of the school system. In present times when stress levels are high, not only among the adults but also in children, it is imperative that all those involved in this profession be sensitized about effective classroom management techniques.
With this purpose in view, a workshop was organized for the teachers of DPS World School, Zirakpur. It was conducted by an eminent counselor of Chandigarh, Dr. Ashupriya.
She spoke at length about the types and cycles of self-esteem and its characteristics. She also gave tips on how one can boost one’s self-esteem. She emphasized that the teachers must be well-versed and fluent with the art of handling Parent Teacher Meetings and classroom complexities.
She laid emphasis on the fact that a teacher and his / her personality leaves a lasting impression on the child. She organized Team-building games, wherein the teachers were asked to form teams and role-play different situations. All the teams displayed creativity and innovativeness in their performances. The winning team was awarded a trophy by the Principal, Mrs. Jyoti Nagranee. Dr. Ashupriya applauded the enthusiasm and caring spirit of the Faculty.
The Principal thanked Dr. Ashupriya for her enlightening guidance and presented her with a memento.
