The meaning of the term was explained by way of a prayer, followed by a motivating Thought for the Day. A poem teaching to live life with a positive frame of mind gave everyone points to ponder. A short but moving enactment was staged, aiming to bring out the difference between optimism and pessimism.

The Assembly did give a very optimistic and cheerful start to the day.
