“A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the center of our universe.”

Delhi Public World School, Zirakpur is an institution that firmly believes in this citation. And as an endeavor towards the same, an Orientation Programme was organized for the parents of all the newly admitted students for the session 2018-19. The aim of the programme was to familiarize the parents “as partners in the progress of their wards” with the vision, climate and culture, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the parents by Ms. Geetanjali Sharma which was followed by the Principal, Mrs. Jyoti Nagranee’s address apprising the gathering of the vision, the climate and culture and some new initiatives of the School. Thereafter, Mrs. Anika Gera acquainted them with The Roseland, the Pre-Primary section of the School. The new Scheme of Studies was introduced by Mrs. Shaveta Pal while our Primary Head, Mrs. Maninder Pama filled in on the Co-Curricular activities and the New School Clubs which gave the parents an assurance that the curriculum involves self-directed, hands-on learning activities which apart from giving vent to their creative talents also help in the all-round development of their children.

The parents were introduced with the Class Teachers after which everyone was invited for a cup of tea.
