DPS World School, Zirakpur, conducted the First Assembly as the School reopened on Thursday, 7th July 16, after a long and refreshing summer vacation.

The Assembly was conducted by the teachers who were all set to welcome the students back and begin a new term full of aspirations.

The theme for the Assembly was HAPPINESS. It began with a prayer to the Almighty followed by a soulful chanting of the Gayatri Mantra. News headlines for the day and the thought were read. It was followed by a harmonious singing of the song ‘On top of the world…..” by the teachers which held everyone spellbound. A scintillating dance performance by the dance teacher, Sir Bajaj, held everyone spellbound.

The Principal addressed the students and welcomed them back to School. She stated that the entire school is with the students and for the students. She reiterated that DPS World strongly believes in “No Child Left Behind” and that all actions have the good of the children in mind. She also introduced them to the concept of Theatre in Education.

The Assembly concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
