“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be even at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand”.
Partings have never been easy but they open up the doors to an endless world of opportunities and adventures.
The day added another feather in the cap of DWPS, Zirakpur as we bade farewell to our very first batch of CBSE, Grade X.
The hosts, Grade IX, put up a short but heart touching and solemn programme for the outgoing Class X. There were mixed emotions as the students were given befitting titles by their juniors. To lighten up the moments, Grade IX presented some rocking dance performances while a soulful rendition of ‘Auld Lang Syne..’ stirred a chord in everyone present there. Principal Ma’am addressed the students in a heavy and tearful voice, wishing them all the best for their future. Thereafter there was a very solemn ‘Tilak Ceremony’ followed by Cake Cutting by the students of Grade X. Souhard Aditya expressed his gratitude towards his teachers and juniors for their support and cooperation and the values that the School has instilled in them.
There was a photography session wherein eager friends could be seen capturing those moments in cameras to be cherished for life. They dispersed after a toothsome and ‘snacky’ session.
The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to
reminisce joyous moments.
