May the sun in his course visit no land more free, more happy,

more lovely than this our own country.

These words kindle the feeling of love for one’s country. And these feelings of patriotism become even stronger now when we are all set to celebrate our 70^th Independence Day.

A Special Assembly was conducted in DPS World on this proud and glorious occasion.

It was a moment to cherish for life when all the students in vibrant hues of saffron, white and green, presented various songs and dances as a tribute to their Motherland to commemorate the sacrifices made by the leaders and masses in their struggle for freedom. The melodious and overwhelming songs dedicated to all the martyrs reverberated in the air. There was a role-play by the little ones wherein they came up and spoke as all those heroes of the yesteryears. A skit on the ‘Importance of Voting’, by the senior students laid stress on the fundamental right of Universal Adult Franchise.

The Principal, Mrs. Jyoti Nagranee shared her feelings by saying how proud she is of her country. She encouraged all the students to work hard to become responsible citizens as they are the future of the nation and in them lies the strength and pride of India.
