Principal’s Message

Dear Parents, Teachers and Students,

One of the greatest Indian teachers, Swami Vivekananda believed in the infinite potential of humankind. According to him, “Education is the manifestation of perfection already in men.” But, it is also true that no educational methodology can have its desired effect without the ability of the person disposed to employ it, that is, the teacher.

As stated in the Bhagvad Gita,

ज्ञानं ज्ञेयं परिज्ञाता त्रिविधा कर्मचोदना।
करणं कर्म कर्तेति त्रिविधः कर्मसंग्रहः।।

That is, the knower (student), the knowing (teacher) and the known (knowledge) constitute the triune stimulus to action. To create right action, teachers and students must work together on the battleground of values.

Mindful of our heritage as a nation that is revered for its ideal “Guru-Shishya” dynamic, we, at Delhi World Public School are conscious of our responsibility and the trust placed in us by our parent and student community. Here, at DWPS, we strive to create a stimulating, inclusive environment for every student by promoting curiosity over compliance and questioning over quiet. Our aim is to empower our students to become global citizens by providing them a roadmap to opportunity for a better life through developing their potential.

Education is and always will be a challenging enterprise, especially in the current situation of the global pandemic, but I am confident that together we can overcome every challenge and help our “Worldites” become self aware, resilient and confident citizens prepared to take on the world and win!
