‘Festivals are characterized by colour, gaiety, enthusiasm, prayers and rituals.’

A special assembly was conducted by DWPS on 18 August, 2022 on the occasion of Janamashtami, a festival which commemorates the earthly arrival of Lord Krishna. The assembly commemorated with divine melodies and shalokas in praise of Lord Krishna. Kayva and Navjot of class VI-B compeered the entire event. A skit was also performed highlighting the importance of truthfulness in one’s life.

Rock band of the school entertained the audience with foot tapping energy of music, by singing ‘Vande Matram ‘, ‘Bella Ciao’ and ‘Krishna Bhajan’. The energy transformed the atrium into a blissful garden of happiness. Handwriting certificates were also distributed by Ms. Chhavi. Havya of grade XA bagged the first position followed by Manasvi of grade XB. The assembly concluded by principal, Ms. Manisha Sahni, words of wisdom, “It’s not important to win but participate in life. Success and failures are two sides of the same coin. Once you lose in life you know the real meaning of success. Therefore one must strive for excellence in all spheres of life.”
