‘Theatre in Education’ forms an integral component of our curriculum. It has found place in our assemblies, too, to make them more lively and interactive.
A Special Assembly was conducted on ‘Sun – Our life’ by the students of Grades III and IV. After the usual but melodious chanting of shloks and hymns, a short but very informative presentation, focusing on the importance of this heavenly existence in our lives, was put up.
Through this skit the students emphasized on the effects of the sun on nature and all its beautiful creatures. It showcased the need for heat and the sun’s light.
It left everyone with a thought to ponder – what would happen if, some day, the sun just ceased to exist??
The deep, underlying idea was to bring about an awareness for the conservation of natural resources which are vital for the existence and survival of life.
