Delhi Public World School Zirakpur – WORKSHOP ON “INTERNET SAFETY”
There was an informative session on 15th December 2017 i.e. Friday, for Grades 3 to 8 on Internet Safety by our In-house Doctor, Dr. Ruchi Bansal.
The students were educated on the definition, benefits as well as the downsides of the internet and were advised to always follow “Click clever, click safe code” while using internet because internet is not a real world. Dr. Bansal shared the three safety rules to be followed while using internet – “Zip it, block it and flag it” to help keep them safe when they log into their favorite website every day. A short movie was shown to make them understand the meaning of zipping up of personal information, blocking up of unknown content and flagging up with safe, trustworthy circle while surfing the internet.
This workshop was designed to help students understand that internet is meant only for gaining knowledge, playing fun games and connecting with known people in the world so that they can safely enjoy its benefits.
