The theme of the Assembly conducted by Grade VII was “It isn’t the mountains ahead that wear you down; it’s the pebble in your shoe”.
After the shloks and a melodious rendition of the hymn, the students staged a short but inspiring skit on the life of Shoaib Akhtar, the well-known Cricketer from Pakistan. This skit demonstrated how one’s courage and determination lead him/her to success, despite all the hurdles in the way. 21st February being the Punjabi Language Day, Chirag Joshi spoke on how Punjabi has come to be recognized as an important language across the globe. He also shared his views on the importance of the mother tongue in a person’s life.
We had a Guest Speaker this morning, Mrs. Arti Tickoo, from HELPAGE INDIA. She spoke to the students about this agency involved in working for the elderly across the world. She gave them an insight into the formation of this organization and its functions. The focus of her talk was respect and love for these senior citizens.
It was quite an informative morning.
