Assembly on Opportunities and ‘National Girl Child Day’

Marilyn Monroe had very rightly said, “Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world”.

Anyone who recognises opportunities and can make their best use, will conquer the world. And, girls are no exception. They have proved time and again that they have all the adroitness to reach for the stars and bring them down on this very earth.

Our Assembly was based on Opportunities and the Girl Child (to mark the occasion of the National Girl Child Day on 24th January). It was conducted by the students of Grade VI.

After the usual chanting of shloks and a hymn, the students performed a small skit showcasing the consequences of missing an opportunity disguised as hard work. Thereafter, Sneyhil Aggarwal enumerated the significance of observing the National Girl Child Day. He also shared some valuable information about a Bengaluru based mother-daughter duo who are all set to embark on an expedition to fly around the world in 80 days, with an aim to raise funds to help under-privileged girls in India. It will set an example for the girls in the country to grab every opportunity that comes their way, and show it to the world that they are the creators of their own destiny.

Last but not the least, there was a melodious and soul-stirring song dedicated to all the girls of the country.
