DPS World celebrates Children’s Day

‘Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.’

These were the words of our First Prime Minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, whose birthday on 14th November is celebrated as Children’s Day to commemorate his love for children and his faith that proper education of children could lead to the country’s progress.

To mark this significant day, a Special Assembly was conducted by the Members of the Staff. `They began with a shlok and an enchanting and rhythmical rendition of the song ‘Aa chal ke tujhe main le ke chalun……’ which was followed by the News for the day read by Ma’am Jaitly and the Thought of the Day was delivered by Ma’am Bishnoi. There was a lively and rollicking dance performance by Sir Bajaj and Sir Pandey. Sir Sanjeev sang a hilarious parody which had the audience in splits.0 Ma’am Verma, dressed up as ‘Chacha Nehru’, addressed the students, broadening their horizons about the significance of this day and the role of children in nation building.

The Principal, Mrs. Jyoti Nagranee, blessed all the students. She spoke about DPS World being a close-knit and caring family.

The day also marked / witnessed the inauguration of our ‘Play-station’ for the budding athletes. The excitement of the students knew no bounds. There was a movie for them which they enjoyed to the brim. They also enjoyed the feast of pastries which were brought for them.
