It is said that ‘Reading maketh a complete man’.

Reading is a skill that is acquired by proper training and continuous practice. To reinforce this idea and to promote the love of reading amongst the students, a workshop on ‘the Science of Reading’ was organized for the language Teachers at Delhi Public World School. It was conducted by Mrs. Shipra Parikh from ‘Stones 2 Milestones’.

It began on a very interactive note. Mrs. Parikh then went on to share the techniques of enhancing reading skills including decoding, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. She discussed the importance of developing phonemic awareness and letter sounds in enhancing reading.

It was an eye-opening session for all the Teachers which left them to ponder over bridging the gap between the students and books.
