The ‘UBUNTU’ Club visits BAL SADAN

Delhi Public World School, Zirakpur – The ‘UBUNTU’ Club visits BAL SADAN

God has showered His choicest blessings on us in the form of family and parents. We are all blessed to have such loving parents who are always there with us in times of joy and despair. But out there in the world not all children are fortunate enough to have families and parents to rely on. There are millions of souls who either have lost their parents in some accidents or their parents left them as they were unable to raise them. Such children are forced by destiny to live on the mercy of others in orphanages.

In order to sensitize our children towards these less privileged children, the CSR club of our school visited ‘Bal Sadan’, an orphanage in Sector-12A, Panchkula. Students donated eatables and stationery items to them. They spent some quality time with the children there and also learnt about their lives. Our students were surprised to see the cradle put near the gate of the orphanage which was meant for abandoned children.

The main objective of this visit was to make our students realize how blessed they are to have someone to call their own. They realized they owe their gratitude to the Almighty for such loving and caring families.
